Getting to Nami Island| Korea Nami Island Information You Need

Nami Island-Korea
Nami island is also called Namiseom / Namisum. It’s a small half-moon shaped island which got its name from General Nami who died at a young age after having been falsely accused of treason during King Sejo’s reign.

Best time to visit
No trip to Seoul would be complete without a visit to Nami Island-a famous tourist attraction with different scenaries during each season. Autumn and winter is the best season to visit Nami Island.

Getting to Nami Island
By Subway:
Go to Sangbong Station (line no.7) and take Gyeongchun Line to Cheongpyeong Station. Exit at exit 2.

Look for the terminal for the ‘Gapyeong Tourist Shuttle Bus’. It’s a hop-on bus, and for a fee of 5,000 Won you can ride to and from the 10 destinations among its route:
-Gapyeong Station
-Jarasum
-Gapyeong Station Terminal
-Nami Isalnd(zip wire)
-Geumdae-ri Hall
-Bokjang-ri samgeori
-Petite France
-Homyeong-ri
-Cheongpyeong Terminal

Thereafter, take the ferry from Namiseom Dock to Namiseom Island. (travel time: 5-6min)

Taxi
From Gapyeong Bus Terminal or Gapyeong Station, take a taxi to Namiseom parking lot. (Travel time: 10-15 min)
Take the ferry from Namiseom Dock to Namiseom Island. (Travel time: 5-6 min)

What can you do at Nami Island
Nami island is filled with chest-nut trees, birches, ginko trees, and maples tree that lines the path. In the middle of the island, there is a grass field about 316,320 square yards. It has education and training facilities, camping sites, swimming pools and water-sports facilities for motorboats and water skiing. This makes Nami Island a popular holiday spot.

Time to spend in Nami Island
You can spend at least 3-4 hours touring the whole island. Take lots of wonderful pretty pictures with the amazing scenery on the island.
