The xiao long baos ($6.80) here are remarkably good. The wanton with hot chilli sauce ($5.80) which sits in a pool of sourish, slightly spicy Chinese vinegar were 6 plump, juicy prawn and pork dumplings encased in a silky wanton skin is also remarkably satisfying.

Whenever you eat at Jiang-Nan Chun, be sure to order their liu sha pau as it is really good! They also serve peking duck and other dishes too. Be sure to check them out if you are looking for a delicious dinner.

Li Bai’s baked barbecued pork pastry ($4.80 for 3 pieces) is really good! Besides that, also try their steamed shrimp dumplings with bamboo shoot ($7.20 for 4 pieces), xiaolongbao with pork and crabmeat ($5.40 for 3 pieces), stir-fried radish cake ($6.80), deep-fried crispy prawn with mango ($6.90 for 3 pieces), baked mini egg tarts ($3.60 for 3 pieces), steamed crystal dumplings ($4.80 for 3 pieces) and deep-fried scallop rolls ($6.60). Although they have most dim sum options, they do not have liu sha pau on their menu.

Peach Blossom restaurant offers a-la carte Dim Sum Buffet priced reasonably. Do try their  Dim Sum Trinity (Har Gao, Siew Mai and Char Siew Bao), steamed pork dumpling with mushroom, steamed prawn dumpling, steamed BBQ pork bun, steamed seafood roll in BBQ sauce and steamed lotus leaf bun with roasted pork.

The baked mini egg tarts ($3.90) are very good as the crisp and flaky pastry goes really well with the silky smooth egg custard. Peach Garden is also known for their custard buns ($4.20) and signature X.O carrot cake. The steamed siew mai with phoenix prawns ($4.80) – fresh, crunchy, and sweet prawn on top of the meaty siew mai- is also good.

The must-try Dim Sum items are Steamed Prawn Dumplings, Custard Bun, Har Gau, Char Siew Sou and Egg Tart. Prices are also very reasonable; ranging from $3.60 to $4.80 for a basket.

Serving cantonese dishes and dim sum, Summer Pavilion serves up some really good, exquisite dishes. On its dim sum menu, there are quite a few choices. Besides the usual Steamed Prawn Dumpling ($5.20 for 4) and Steamed Pork Dumpling ($5.20 for 4), there are also exquisite items like dumpling with abalone ($15.80/pax), and deep-fried Seafood Roll ($2.20/piece) with scallop, prawn and coral clam. If you are here, do try the deep-fried lobster puff ($2.50) and the steamed barbecued pork bun($4.50 for 3)  which contains preserved vegetable. The taste was subtle, but it gave a different dimension to the otherwise ordinary bun.Besides dim sum, there is a comprehensive list of chef’s specialities.

Summer Place offers two premium dishes: Baked Chicken Tart with Baby Abalone and Shrimp dumpling with Bird’s Nest. Other recommended Dim Sum dishes would be the deep-fried yam with Garoupa, siew mai and steamed Grouper dumpling.

Dim Sum at Swee Choon really allows you to stretch your dollar as the dim sum here is considered cheaper as compared to other dim sum places in Singapore. The yam paste with pumpkin and ginkgo nut ($3.80) is a must have as the consistency of the yam paste is not overly gooey, the taste has just the right amount of sweetness and the portion was just right. The coconut milk also made it very fragrant as well. Swee Choon Mee Suah Kueh ($2.00) is a twist on the traditional carrot cake. The crispy mee suah on the top paired with the soft insides of the kueh makes the bite more multi-dimensional.

Tim Ho Wan, a 1 Michelin Star dim sum restaurant from Hong Kong which opened in Singapore has been the hype in the dim sum scene in Singapore. The highlight of Tim Ho Wan is their baked BBQ pork buns ($4.50 for 3). Another must have item on the menu is the steamed egg cake ($3.80) which is soft and fluffy and really addictive.

Serving refined Cantonese cuisine and dim sum, Wah Lok is a go-to place for business lunches or for family gatherings over the weekends. Their dim sum menu features classic items such as Baked Mini Egg Tart, Steamed Glutinous Rice and Baked Custard Bun. Besides these, they also have unique dim sum dishes like deep-fried crabmeat & scallop balls, deep-fried seafood & sea cucumber rolls and steamed vegetarian beancurd skin. The food here is consistenly good and be prepared for a great meal here!

Yan Ting has an extensive Dim Sum selection which are pleasing to the eye and of course to the palate.  To order their char siew sou, egg tarts, custard buns, steamed pork dumplings, siew mai and  radish cake.
